By author I assume you mean the authority?

Quercus rubra L. – L. is Linnaeus
Platanus occidentalis L. – Linnaeus
Acer saccharum Marsh. – Marshall
Fagus grandifolia Ehrh. – Ehrhart
Betula lenta L. – Linnaeus
