Chemical free pest control?

Question by dedicatedtoresearch: Chemical free pest control?
So we have three types of trees that we use in our lab, Hoptree (Ptelea trifoliata), Nannyberry (Viburnum lentago), and Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia). This year especially we’ve been having serious pest and disease problems, namely spider mites on the Hoptree, grey mold on the Nannyberry, and aphids on the Black Locust. Because our lab works with insects known as tree-hoppers that we raise and keep on these plants, traditional chemical based pesticides won’t work. Does anybody know of any other chemical-free remedies that we can use to get rid of these problems before they destroy all of our plants?

Research bat boxes on the web and build several.Put them up on and around your trees and if you are lucky bats will inhabit them and then eat all the pest that are damaging the trees.
