Question by Gone Fishing: Does anyone know if the tulip poplar tree (Liriodendron tulipifera) will grow well in Kansas?
I now that the tulip poplar tree is cold hardy from zones 4-9, but will it do well in Kansas (zone 6)?
I thought of planting either this tree or a chinese pistache (Pistacia chinensis), but I can’t decide. Please let me know if you have any experience growing tulip poplar trees in Kansas or know of any tulip poplar trees that are thriving in Kansas. Thank you.
