Grows to 25-30 ft. Native to Japan, the Heartleaf Hornbeam can be used for a privacy screen, a hedge, or in Bonsai culture. Good fall colour, large dark green leaves, rounded in habit, densely branched. Half as wide as it is tall with 3-5 inch cigar shaped seed pods.
