Chinese Fringe Tree (Chionanthus retusus) Horizontal Form This is the Asian counterpart to the wonderful American fringe tree . Both are possibly the best ornamental trees. Far better than ‘Bradford Pear’. We also have larger leafed very vertical formed tree . Excellent in flower, like a white forsythia tree. Glossy more rounded leaves than the native. Interesting bark. Very hardy, pollution tolerant, drouth tolerant. We have found that there are some specimens that have a more horizontal habit.
