Archive for Acer Spicatum

Question by Matt: Please help me identify this type of leaf (a type of picture included)?
I have no idea what kind of leaf this is but it look like a mountain maple (Acer spicatum) but the mountain is a little more symetrical in the veins that it has than the leaf that i have. Also, it is smooth where as the mountain maple is a bit fuzzy. Also, the edges of the leaf are smoother than on this mountain maple.

This picture below looks like it so hopfully someone can please help me identify this :)

Probably another maple, like the sugar maple. It is smooth to the touch, no serration along the sides. But it will have deeper indentations clearly showing five points.
